Big Belly

Well, my belly's getting bigger by the week and I look like I've swallowed a pillow.
My ankles are swelling up, I might have gestational diabetes and my book tells me to prepare for piles, vericose veins and constipation. That's something to look forward to isn't it.

I feel great right now & love being preggers. He's kicking all the time and can hear us so we've started talking to him (yes, we've lost the plot)

Jack's Room

Craig's mum set us this lovely sign for Jack's bedroom door.
Craig hung his curtains tonight - according to my bible "The Contented Little Baby" (recommended by Deb Cukic) the nursery must have light-filtering curtains for the little bugger to sleep.

Birthday Tea-Party

My 37th Birthday was yesterday! Craig bought me my first "Happy Birthday Mum" card from Jack & took me to see Richard Ashcroft & Coldplay.

Work took me out for lunch today: L-R: Jill, Aneta, Dave, me, John (my boss), and Deb. They bought me a LOAD of sweet stuff that I can't eat because my Doc tells me I might have gestational diabetes (a preggers thing).

Busy Weekend

It was a lovely, sunny weekend so we woodchipped all the trees & shrubs that we cut down last fall. Jan came over to help. It was great to get into the garden at last.
Watched the Oscars last night with friends. I'm so pleased "Crash" won and the song from "Hustle & Flow" - my two favorite films!
Jack's been very active - doing back-flips and wriggling around like good'un. Can't wait to meet him...

Jack at 5 Months

Here's a picture fo Jack taken yesterday. He was looking right at the ultrasound and had his mouth open at one point.
He now weighs 1lb 2oz, is 12 inches long and is wriggling around like a Tazmanian devil.
It's kind of sad as we don't think we'll see him now till he's born in July.

Cody

I know I'm bias but I really do believe we have the cutest dog on the planet.

Someone told me that when Jack's born his name will go from "Cody" to "Cody Move". I hope not as he's our baby... bless

First baby Shower

My First Baby Shower!
My friend Emily had a baby shower. Here she is opening her diaper (nappy) cake. A shower is basically a big party where you all play games, eat cake & buy the host a ton of presents. She's expecting a girl, Katy, in May.

Oscar Films - Pants & Peaches

We're trying to watch all the Oscar films before the 5th March ceremony. Here's our take so far:
Munich = PANTS
Capote = okay, not fabulous. He was a bit of a dick wasn't he?
Walk the Line = Fan-bloody-tastic with knobs on.
Not seen Goodnight & Good Luck or Brokeback Mountain yet ~ this week hopefully.
We also LOVED Hustle & Flow & Cinderella Man... why weren't they nominated???

Lovely Snowdrops

The weather's been really mild here lately - my snowdrops are already out as you can see. Thankfully we missed that snow that slammed the NE coast.
We finally decided on a name ~ Jack Craig Sherratt. That gives us endless possibilities for story telling - Jack & the bean stalk etc.
Going to Studio 35 tonight to watch "Capote" & "Munich". Happy Valentines Day!

Look at this reg plate me & Craig saw last week. I love Cody but I wouldn't go that far, even after a few sherrys!
