He's the Reason We Can't Have Nice Things

I say this line a lot to Craig -
When the cats barf on the bed "We can never have nice things"
When Ben poos on the basement carpet "We can never have nice things"
When the kids put slime on the carpets or smash something "We can never have nice things"
All of this is said tongue-in-cheek, knowing full well that me & Craig were just as mischievous  (or worse) and that things will not get smashed or ruined so much as they age. Or maybe they will. But when they fly the nest we'll buy nice things, let's put it that way.

But I'm talking about my house and not the USA. The reason we can't have nice things in the USA is because Trump is spilling his slime, barfing on carpets and puking on all that is dear.

Case in point:

He speaks at Boy Scouts of America (BSA) Jamboree and tries to turn it into a political rally, full of expletives and nonsensical gibberish. Gets Scouts to boo former President (who was a Scout) and acts horribly. It was a vile display, and very embarrassing.

We (BSA Scout family) go mad with rage and post on social media. I also emailed and tried to call but their phone was down the whole week! (why?)

BSA apologize twice (they got it wrong the first time, and did a fairly lukewarm job on the 2nd)

An Eagle Scout and BSA Leader from Lake Erie apologize properly. Thank you!

Trump states that the head of BSA called him and said his speech was awesome, tremendous, and definitely the biggliest best speech he ever heard.

BSA said they didn't.

I love the BSA. I'm a leader and a massive advocate for the group and I'm not sad about this debacle, I am mad as hell that he did this. It almost seems like he set out to ruin it, like he ruins so much more.
"Trump is the reason we can't have nice things"

But you know what?  He won't do that to BSA. He just tried to ruin the wrong thing because we have values we live by and we are progressive and inclusive and we are already talking about letting girls in. So, fuck you Trump, with a big fat cherry on the top.
